Armstrong Cottage, nestled in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, is a meticulously crafted off - grid and net - zero family retreat by Peter Braithwaite Studio. Looking at the exterior of the cottage, its architectural form is extremely distinctive. It consists of two pavilions, one for sleeping and the other for living. The natural landscape can extend unhindered beneath the building, making the cottage an integral part of nature rather than an obtrusive presence.
