In Wanaka, New Zealand, the Penrith Peaks residence carefully built by Condon Scott Architects Ltd is like a pearl inlaid between mountains and waters. It not only meets the owner's current holiday needs, but also makes plans for long-term residence in the future. The interior and exterior decoration design of this house cleverly combines the natural environment, functional requirements and aesthetic pursuits, becoming a model of architectural design.

在新西兰瓦纳卡，Condon Scott Architects Ltd 精心打造的 Penrith Peaks 住宅，宛如一颗镶嵌在山水之间的明珠，既满足了业主当下度假需求，又为未来的长久居住做好了规划。这座住宅的室内外装饰装修设计巧妙地融合了自然环境、功能需求与美学追求，成为了建筑设计的典范之作。

From the outside, Penrith Peaks' exterior design is unique. The roof line is subtly tilted, giving the building a dynamic aesthetic while also making functional use of sunlight. The facade uses a material combination of wood and linear metal cladding, the warmth of the wood complementing the modern lines of the metal. The vertical wooden planks on the lower level are stained a subtle dark color, creating the visual effect that the upper metal-clad floors seem to be suspended, giving the building a sense of lightness while highlighting the contemporary aesthetic style.

从室外看，Penrith Peaks 的外观设计独具匠心。屋顶线条巧妙倾斜，不仅赋予建筑灵动的美感，更在功能上实现了对阳光的有效利用。外立面采用木材与线性金属覆层相结合的材料组合，木材的温暖质感与金属的现代线条相得益彰。下层的垂直木板被染成低调的深色，营造出上层金属包裹的楼层仿若悬浮的视觉效果，赋予建筑轻盈感，同时又彰显出当代美学风格。

The architects made a careful layout considering the historical planning rules and surrounding environment of the site. The living room is located on the west side, and the roof is tilted to welcome the morning sun from the east. While enjoying the warm sunshine, residents can also take in the lake view through the windows. In order to allow the owners to fully enjoy the clear sky of Otago without being disturbed by the wind blowing from Lake Wanaka, the designer created a backyard on the slope of the site. The glass design of the backyard terrace is very clever. It allows residents to enjoy the lake and mountain views outside the window from the indoors, and stay closely connected with nature even in bad weather. Looking from the upper floor, the magnificent view of Trebuble Peak, Black Peak and the snow-capped Alps in the distance is even more intoxicating.

考虑到场地的历史规划规则和周边环境，建筑师进行了精心布局。客厅位于西侧，屋顶倾斜以迎接东边清晨的阳光，住户在享受温暖阳光的同时，还能透过窗户将湖景尽收眼底。为了让业主能尽情享受奥塔哥的晴朗天空，又免受瓦纳卡湖吹来的风的侵扰，设计师在场地斜坡处打造了一个后院。后院露台的玻璃设计十分巧妙，它让住户在室内就能欣赏到窗外的湖景和山景，即使在恶劣天气也能与自然保持紧密联系。从上层眺望，特瑞布尔峰、黑峰以及远处白雪皑皑的阿尔卑斯山构成的壮丽景色更是令人陶醉。

When you step inside, the first thing that catches your eye is the rich wood tones that extend from the upper balcony to the interior walls and ceilings. This warm wooden element contrasts sharply with the cool white kitchen, creating a unique sense of spatial hierarchy. In terms of overall layout, although the house is relatively compact in size, it is very functional. There are two bedrooms upstairs and an office that can be flexibly converted into a third bedroom to meet different living needs. The full-size garage downstairs and the adjacent drying room provide ample space for the owner to store outdoor activity equipment; the wine cellar provides convenience for the owner to taste the fine wines from the local vineyards, showing the quality of life.

步入室内，首先映入眼帘的是从上层阳台延伸至室内墙壁和天花板的丰富木质色调，这种温暖的木质元素与冷白色的厨房形成鲜明对比，营造出独特的空间层次感。在整体布局上，住宅虽然面积相对紧凑，但功能十分齐全。楼上设有两间卧室，还有一间可灵活转变为第三间卧室的办公室，满足了不同的居住需求。楼下的全尺寸车库和相邻的烘干室，为业主存放户外活动装备提供了充足空间；酒窖则为业主品尝当地葡萄园的美酒提供了便利，尽显生活品质。

In terms of interior decoration details, the materials and products used are carefully selected. Design Windows' doors and windows ensure good lighting and views while ensuring indoor airtightness and safety; ECC Furniture and Lighting's lighting equipment creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere for the interior; Halliday and Baillie's door hardware is not only practical, but also adds a sense of refinement to the space; McKenzie & Willis' curtains and blinds meet the need for shading while matching the overall style; Resene's interior wall paint lays a soft tone foundation for the interior space.
