SIMPLY HOUSE is a charming minimalist holiday home in Cēsis, Latvia. Designed by Didrihsons Architects and completed in 2023, it is like a pearl inlaid in the Gauja Valley, exuding unique charm.

在拉脱维亚的 Cēsis，坐落着一座令人心驰神往的简约风格度假屋 ——SIMPLY HOUSE。它由 Didrihsons Architects 精心设计，LABS DIZAINS 团队负责室内设计，于 2023 年完工，宛如一颗镶嵌在 Gauja 山谷中的明珠，散发着独特魅力。

From the outside, the 167 square meter building blends in perfectly with the surrounding landscape. Large frameless windows with slim frames frame the picturesque views outside. The walls are decorated with sandy-colored decorative marble powder plaster, which is unique to the Gauja Valley, which not only has a unified tone but also a fine and smooth texture, which complements the surrounding environment. This sandy plaster continues into the kitchen area, while the living room ceiling is a lighter tone, creating a calm and aesthetic visual effect, allowing people to enjoy the simple design while enjoying the magnificent natural scenery outside the window.

从外观来看，167 平方米的建筑与周围景观完美融合。大型无框窗户拥有纤细的边框，将窗外如画美景框成一幅幅自然画卷。墙壁采用 Gauja 山谷特有的沙色装饰大理石粉灰泥，与周边环境相得益彰，不仅色调统一，还呈现出细腻光滑的质感。这种沙色灰泥一直延伸到厨房区域，而客厅天花板则采用稍浅的色调，营造出宁静且极具美感的视觉效果，让人在享受简约设计的同时，也能尽情领略窗外的壮丽自然景观。

Once inside, the entrance area is ingenious. Exquisite decoration, hidden doors and LED light strips create a 'gateway in time and space' effect, which not only enhances the sense of space, but also allows people to see the spacious living area at a glance. The window frame next to the front door is completely hidden by wooden boards, which extend seamlessly to the other side of the glass, creating a sense of infinite extension of space. The living room floor is made of seamless microcement, with automatic blinds hidden boxes installed in the large window openings, and the linear light strips built into the ceiling make the whole space look simple and layered.

踏入屋内，入口区域独具匠心。精致的装饰、隐藏式门以及 LED 灯带，打造出类似 “时空之门” 的效果，既增强了空间感，又能让人一眼望见宽敞的起居区。前门旁的窗框被木板完全隐藏，木板无缝延伸至玻璃另一侧，营造出无限延展的空间感。客厅地面选用无缝微水泥，搭配宽大窗户开口处安装的自动百叶窗隐藏盒，再加上天花板内置的线性灯带，整个空间显得简洁而富有层次感。

The living room and kitchen area flow together naturally and smoothly, with the core design concept of promoting communication and interaction. The large stone composite kitchen island, created by Jānis Dābols, becomes the focal point of the space. The warm grey Rols environmentally friendly carpet, made of 100% recycled plastic, is not only soft to the touch like wool, but also easy to care for. Hidden LED light strips illuminate the perimeter of the entrance and steps, creating a soft atmosphere at night, and in many cases there is no need to turn on the ceiling lights. In addition, all lights can be dimmed to create a comfortable environment. To add a sense of warmth and visual neatness, the wooden paneling extends to the leisure area, cleverly hiding the doors of the bedroom and technical room, and the ventilation system, refrigerator and shelves are also properly placed in it, fully reflecting the design principle of functionality first.

客厅与厨房区域自然流畅地融为一体，以增进交流互动为核心设计理念。由 Jānis Dābols 打造的大型石质复合厨房岛台，成为空间的焦点。地面铺设的暖灰色 Rols 环保地毯，由 100% 回收塑料制成，不仅触感如羊毛般柔软，还易于打理。隐藏式 LED 灯带照亮入口周边和台阶，在夜晚营造出柔和的氛围，很多时候无需开启顶灯。而且，所有灯光均可调节亮度，方便营造舒适的环境。为了增添温馨感和视觉整洁度，木质镶板延伸至休闲区，巧妙地隐藏了卧室和技术间的门，通风系统、冰箱和搁板也被妥善安置其中，充分体现了功能性优先的设计原则。

The lounge was designed with its irregular shape in mind, with the furniture arranged to unify the space. The kitchen features an integrated stove and built-in range hood, and the Corian countertops seamlessly merge with the windowsills for easy cleaning and maintenance. In the living room, soft Living Divani sofas face in multiple directions, creating different areas for communication and movie viewing. Custom-made bookshelves are embedded in the screens, and the speakers of the Soviet-era sound system are hidden behind acoustic fabrics, which influence the tonal style of the entire space. The presence of the fireplace adds a warm atmosphere to the space, with its MDF cladding specially treated to mimic the texture of metal, which is not only warm to the touch, but also has integrated shelves and LED lighting.

休闲室的设计充分考虑其不规则形状，家具摆放合理，起到统一空间的作用。厨房配备集成炉灶和内置抽油烟机，Corian 台面与窗台无缝衔接，便于清洁维护。客厅里，柔软的 Living Divani 沙发面向多个方向，划分出不同的交流和观影区域。定制的书架嵌入屏幕，并将苏联时期音响系统的扬声器隐藏在声学织物后，影响着整个空间的色调风格。壁炉的存在更是为空间增添了温馨氛围，其 MDF 覆层经过特殊处理，模仿金属质感，不仅触感温暖，还集成了搁板和 LED 照明。

The bedroom is warm and simple, with wooden floors and soft carpets, simple reading lights, and LED light strips on the windowsill and under the bed, creating a comfortable and cozy resting environment. The highlight of the bathroom is the circular micro-cement shower room, with a customized linear drain hidden under the removable floor covering for easy daily cleaning. The black chrome accessories put a perfect end to the overall minimalist style, enhancing the overall sense and functionality of the space.

卧室以温暖简约为主调，木地板搭配柔软地毯，简约的阅读灯以及窗台和床头下方的 LED 灯带，营造出舒适惬意的休息环境。浴室的亮点则是圆形微水泥淋浴间，定制的线性排水槽隐藏在可移除的地板覆盖物下方，方便日常清洁，黑色镀铬配件为整体简约风格画上完美句号，强化了空间的整体感和功能性。

SIMPLY HOUSE From the outside to the inside, every design has been carefully crafted. It cleverly integrates natural elements into it, and through the clever use of materials, colors, and lights, it creates an ideal holiday home that combines simplicity, comfort, and functionality, providing people with a quiet harbor away from the hustle and bustle and returning to their true nature.
