Quinzhee Architecture has designed a house called Peace near the Lemelstrom Mountain in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, Canada. The house is located on a wooded slope and is not only an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts, but also a model of the harmonious coexistence of architecture and nature, with unique interior and exterior decoration design.

在加拿大魁北克省拉克 - 博波尔的勒梅尔斯特伦山附近，Quinzhee Architecture 建筑事务所打造了一座名为 Peace 的住宅。它坐落在树木繁茂的斜坡上，不仅是徒步爱好者的理想休憩地，更是建筑与自然和谐共生的典范，其室内外装饰装修设计独具匠心。

From the outside, the most striking features of the Peace House are its two complementary volumes. The metal volume, clad in Eastern Townships-style tiles, has three floors and is topped by a roof terrace with a spa. Its shape follows the natural slope of the site in a parallelogram shape, with thick railings that provide both wind and rain protection for the spa and privacy. The other part, the wooden stand volume, clad in open cedar boards, extends from the ground and stretches southeast, like an observation deck, allowing residents to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and the river in the distance. This large stepped building not only serves as a passageway connecting the various levels of the metal volume, but also provides shade for the interior spaces, while also providing people with numerous places to gather, exercise and meditate.

从室外看，Peace 住宅最显著的特征是两个相互补充的建筑体量。金属体量外部覆盖着东部乡镇风格的瓷砖，共三层，顶部设有带温泉浴场的屋顶露台。它的外形依循场地的自然坡度，呈平行四边形，宽厚的栏杆既能为温泉浴场遮风挡雨，又巧妙地保护了隐私。另一部分是木质看台体量，由开放式雪松板覆盖，从地面延伸而出，向东南方向伸展，犹如一座观景台，让住户可以饱览山区和远处河流的全景。这座巨大的阶梯式建筑，不仅是连接金属体量各层的通道，还为室内空间提供了阴凉，同时也为人们提供了众多聚会、锻炼和冥想的场所。

The entrance of the house is cleverly designed. People must first pass under the wooden volume before entering the house or going to the stands and forest trails. The facade of the building uses a lot of wood and metal. The warm texture of wood and the cold industrial style of metal collide with each other, complementing the surrounding mountain forest environment.

住宅的入口设计巧妙，人们需先从木质体量下方穿过，才能进入屋内或前往看台与森林小径。建筑的外立面大量运用木材和金属，木材的温润质感与金属的冷峻工业风相互碰撞，与周边的山林环境相得益彰。

Inside, the bedroom area on the ground floor is relatively private, separated by a bathroom. The ceiling is covered with open-jointed cedar, which visually extends to the outside, blurring the boundary between inside and outside, making people feel like they are in the forest. The living space on the upper floor can be accessed by an internal ladder or a staircase on the external stand. The wooden structure surrounds the metal volume, with a balcony on one side that allows residents to enjoy the view; on the other side, the stand overlooks the dense forest and takes in the natural scenery.

踏入室内，地面层卧室区域相对私密，中间由浴室隔开。天花板采用开放式拼接雪松覆盖，从视觉上延伸至室外，模糊了室内外的界限，让人仿佛置身于森林之中。上层的起居空间，可通过内部的梯子或外部看台的楼梯进入。木质结构环绕着金属体量，一侧是视野开阔的阳台，能让住户尽情欣赏美景；另一侧的看台则可俯瞰茂密的森林，自然景色尽收眼底。

The interior decoration style is simple and warm, continuing the natural materials of the outdoors. The open layout makes the space appear spacious and transparent, and a large amount of natural light pours into the room through the windows, creating a bright and warm atmosphere. The kitchen and dining area are simple and practical, and the materials used focus on texture and durability, which fits in with the overall rural style. The choice of furniture is also based on comfort and nature, mostly wooden furniture, matched with soft fabrics, providing residents with a comfortable living space.

室内装饰风格质朴而温馨，延续了室外的自然材质。开放式的布局让空间显得宽敞通透，大量的自然光线透过窗户洒入室内，营造出明亮而温暖的氛围。厨房和餐厅区域简洁实用，选用的材料注重质感和耐用性，与整体的乡村风格相契合。家具的选择也以舒适、自然为主，多采用木质家具，搭配柔软的织物，为住户提供了一个惬意的生活空间。

The interior and exterior decoration design of Peace Residence fully considers the natural conditions of the site and the needs of the residents. Through the unique combination of building volumes, the use of natural materials and the clever spatial layout, a quiet, comfortable and nature-connected living environment is created. Here, residents can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, immerse themselves in the embrace of nature, and enjoy the tranquility and beauty. It is undoubtedly a paradise hidden in the mountains and forests.
