On February 18, 2025, a significant cultural exchange event was successfully held at the Liupowu Blockade Battle Site. The event was organized by the Publicity Department of the Yangxin County Party Committee, with the aim of promoting patriotism and fostering international friendship through the blending of history and culture.
The event specially invited international friends from Yemen and Morocco, including ANAS, Yadoo, and Amine, to participate online. Together, they revisited the history of the Liupowu Blockade Battle and discussed the era's themes of peace and development.
The Liupowu Blockade Battle Site, located in Beijie Village, Liupowu Town, is an important red cultural landmark in Yangxin County. On November 11, 1937, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the armed forces of the Rural School fought a brave defensive battle here, marking the beginning of the local people's resistance against foreign invasion and their struggle for national independence. This battle not only demonstrated the courage and fearlessness of the people of Yangxin, but also added a vibrant chapter to the history of China's War of Resistance.
At the event, attendees toured the Liupowu Blockade Battle Exhibition Hall via live streaming. The exhibition is divided into three sections: The first section, "The Sudden Invasion of the Japanese Army," vividly presents the historical background of the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War and the severe situation faced by the people of Yangxin; the second section, "United in Hatred, Fighting Heroically," details the process of the Liupowu Blockade Battle and showcases the heroic scenes of the military and civilians working together to resist the enemy; the third section, "Firm Beliefs and Relentless Progress," deeply explains the far-reaching impact of this battle, inspiring future generations to remember history, cherish peace, and keep moving forward.
As an important red cultural resource in Yangxin County, the Liupowu Blockade Battle Site has become a significant base for patriotic education in recent years, thanks to continuous exploration of its historical connotations and innovative exhibition formats. The successful hosting of this cultural exchange event not only enhanced the site’s international influence but also injected new vitality into the development of Yangxin County's cultural tourism industry.
