On February 9, 2025, the Yangxin County Publicity Department organized a special cultural exchange activity, inviting four international friends from South Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, and Brazil—Shen Youli, Wang Guang, Sun Miaoli, and Sun Wangde—to visit the Yangxin County Pear Culture Ecological Museum and experience the rich cultural and natural atmosphere of the pear village.
According to Chen Rui, Director of the Yangxin County New Era Civilization Practice Center, the museum was established to integrate pear culture, pear ecology, and the pear industry, breaking the limitations of traditional museums and expanding into a more diverse world. The museum not only showcases the history of pears, cultivation techniques, and industrial development but also offers interactive experiences to help visitors gain a deeper understanding of pear culture.
The international guests eagerly toured the museum, visiting various exhibition areas. When they arrived at four special display cabinets, the staff explained their uniqueness. These cabinets contained dough sculptures of pear trees in different seasonal forms: spring with blooming pear flowers, summer with lush pear trees, autumn with abundant fruit, and winter with peaceful pear orchards. These vivid dough sculptures not only illustrated the growth process of pears but also showcased the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional Chinese handicrafts, which impressed the international friends, who eagerly took photos to remember the experience.
This cultural exchange event not only displayed the unique charm of Yangxin County’s pear culture but also provided international friends with a window into China’s local culture. Through such activities, Yangxin County has not only enhanced its cultural influence but also made a positive contribution to international cultural exchange and cooperation. The event concluded with laughter and joy, but the seeds of pear culture had already taken root in the hearts of the international guests, and in the future, they will surely bear more fruitful results.
