Asked in a recent Fox News interview whether the clash was a "good cop, bad cop" setup, Vance explained how events unfolded.
“不，肯定不是计划好的。”万斯解释称。当时同一名记者连续提了三个问题，特朗普正在回答第三个问题时，他决定插个话。“我只是想回答问题。然后，我在回答中说的一些话引发了此次争吵。泽连斯基有些沮丧，然后就一发不可收拾了。”
"No, it was certainly not planned," Vance said, explaining that Trump was responding to the third consecutive question from the same reporter when he decided to interject. "I just wanted to answer the question. And then, of course, something I said in my answer caused the blowup. Zelensky got frustrated with it, and then everything went from there," Vance said.

"I'm the vice president, I try to be respectful. But I also recognize that sometimes the president wants me to say stuff. And of course, if I think there's something useful I can say and I think that it's going to be deferential to the president – I'll jump in and offer my thoughts," he added.
泽连斯基2月28日到访美国白宫，与特朗普、万斯在媒体记者面前讨论乌克兰问题，却爆发激烈争吵。泽连斯基随后提前离开白宫，双方未按计划签署矿产协议。
Zelensky, Trump, and Vance were involved in a tense verbal altercation at the White House last month. Following this, Zelensky was asked to leave the White House and the planned US-Ukraine minerals deal was canceled.
泽连斯基3月2日晚在接受英国广播公司采访时表示，尽管未能在美国白宫达成美乌矿产协议，但他仍“愿意”签署该协议。乌克兰副总理斯特凡尼希娜3月14日表示，乌克兰随时准备与美国签署矿产资源框架协议，并指出该协议文本的谈判已经完成。她表示，美方目前尚未决定何时、在什么条件下签署该协议。
