House B-T, located in Meilegem, Zwalm, Belgium, is a two-family house meticulously designed by GRAUX & BAEYENS architecten for a comfortable retirement. This residence not only meets the living needs of the owners for their golden years but also presents a unique charm in its interior and exterior decoration and design, perfectly integrating the brutalist style with refined details.

House B-T 位于比利时兹瓦尔姆的梅勒海姆，是一座专为舒适晚年生活打造的双户住宅，由 GRAUX & BAEYENS architecten 建筑事务所精心设计。这座住宅不仅满足了业主对安度晚年的居住需求，更在室内外装饰装修设计上，将粗野主义风格与精致细节完美融合，呈现出独特的魅力。

Viewed from the outside, House B-T is strategically sited. Its layout is designed to maximize the view of the garden and the hilly landscape behind it, while maintaining a subtle connection with the village center of Meilegem at the front. The exterior design of the building is highly distinctive. The robust shell, the canopies that echo the landscape, and the detailed treatments from the scale of residents' lives are intertwined.

从室外看，House B-T 的选址巧妙，其布局旨在最大化利用后方花园及丘陵景观的视野，同时在前方与梅勒海姆村中心保持着微妙的联系。建筑外观的设计极具特色，坚固的外壳和与景观相呼应的挑檐，以及从居民生活尺度出发的细节处理，相互交织。

The building consists of three platforms at different levels. This unique design not only creates practical breakfast terraces and a spacious living terrace but also provides a natural shading structure for the building. The large windows with canopies are a highlight of the architecture, giving the building a unique expressiveness. At the front of the building, the facades on both sides of the wide, pivoting entrance door open wide, as if warmly 'embracing' visitors. At the back of the building, there are storage rooms and carports to meet the functional needs of daily life.

建筑由三个不同平面的平台构成，这种独特的设计不仅创造出了实用的早餐露台、宽敞的生活露台，还为建筑提供了天然的遮阳结构。大面积的窗户搭配挑檐，成为建筑的一大亮点，赋予了建筑独特的表现力。在建筑前方，宽阔的旋转式入口门两侧的立面敞开，仿佛热情地 “拥抱” 着来访的客人；而建筑后方则设有储物间和车棚，满足日常生活的功能性需求。

The exterior walls are made of artificial concrete, forming an interesting combination with the delicate railing lines. The concrete element reappears in the garden wall, but with a horizontal formwork. This design enhances the building's sense of integration with the surrounding landscape, making it seem as if it has grown naturally from the land.

外墙采用人造混凝土，与精致的栏杆线条形成了有趣的组合。混凝土元素在花园围墙中再次出现，只不过采用了水平模板，这种设计增强了建筑与周围景观的融合感，使其仿佛是从这片土地中自然生长出来的一般。

Stepping inside, the concrete element still plays a significant role. However, it is perfectly balanced with natural lime plaster, finely processed afrormosia, and oak veneer, creating a harmonious spatial atmosphere. The space left between the staircase and the wall allows natural light to flow freely over the rough structure of the concrete, forming a unique play of light and shadow. This refined detail adds an artistic touch to the interior. The window - side seating in the kitchen is also ingeniously designed. People can sit comfortably here while cooking at the island counter, enjoying a cozy time. Even the carport for the mobile home has been designed with the smallest details in mind. The rust - colored painted steel used in the carport is a playful nod to the typical corrugated iron of the neighboring farm, cleverly integrating the local rural characteristics.

走进室内，混凝土元素同样占据着重要地位，但它与天然石灰石膏、经过精细加工的非洲鸡翅木和橡木贴面完美平衡，营造出和谐的空间氛围。楼梯与墙壁之间留出的空间，让自然光能够在混凝土的粗糙结构上自由流动，形成独特的光影效果，这一精致的细节为室内增添了艺术气息。厨房中的靠窗座位设计也别具匠心，人们在岛台烹饪时，可以舒适地坐在这里，享受惬意的时光。就连移动房屋的车棚，在设计上也考虑到了最小的细节，车棚采用的锈红色喷漆钢材，是对邻近农场典型波纹铁皮的俏皮致敬，巧妙地融入了当地的乡村特色。

The first floor of the residence provides an independent living space for caregivers or family members. This living space has direct access to the garden. In exchange for using the house, the occupants will provide support to the owners in aspects such as house maintenance and shopping. An elevator in the entrance area facilitates the owners to reach their residence on the second floor directly.

住宅的一层为护理人员或家人提供了独立住所，该住所可直接通往花园。作为使用房屋的交换，居住者会为业主提供诸如房屋维护、购物等方面的支持。入口处的电梯则方便业主直达二层他们自己的住所。

The second floor is the main living space for the owners. The living areas are concentrated around a core area, forming an open space. From different perspectives, this space can present different views and atmospheres. The spacious space is equipped with large floor - to - ceiling windows, offering panoramic views. The bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom are connected in sequence. There are also several spacious terraces on this floor. The owners can enjoy the surrounding garden scenery and the vast landscape without having to go downstairs, indulging in a pleasant outdoor time.

二层是业主主要的生活空间，起居区域围绕核心区域集中布局，形成一个开阔的空间。从不同角度看，这个空间都能呈现出不同的景致和氛围。宽敞的空间内设有宽敞的落地窗，带来全景视野，卧室、更衣室和浴室依次相连。这一层还设有多个宽敞的露台，业主无需下楼，就能尽情欣赏周围的花园美景和广袤的风景，享受惬意的户外时光。

In its interior and exterior decoration and design, House B-T perfectly combines the toughness of brutalism with the delicacy of sophisticated living through ingenious spatial layouts, carefully selected materials, and extreme attention to details. It is not only a building that meets the living functions but also a work that integrates art and life, creating a comfortable, unique living space that is closely connected to nature and the surrounding environment for the owners.
